Why Your Player Should Stay Party Leader

Party leadership is a practical part of the setup, not a label to ignore once the bot arrives. Your player should remain the leader of the party you intend to use. The bot joins that party, while your player makes the activity and Ready decisions in Fortnite. Establishing that arrangement early prevents avoidable confusion when friends join or the party changes.

Give each screen a clear job

The website controls the hosted bot's session and supported customization. Fortnite controls the party your player belongs to. A successful website action does not transfer party leadership, select the right activity for your player, or replace a Ready action in the game. Treating these as separate responsibilities gives you a clear place to check when something seems stuck.

Begin with your own player in the lobby. Invite the bot into that player's party and verify the leader indication inside Fortnite. If another person formed the group, agree who is going to lead before starting the session. Avoid passing leadership around while you are still checking whether the bot has joined.

Keep group decisions with the person playing

A group can contain several real players, but it still needs an agreed leader. The person responsible for the session should check the party arrangement and explain when the group is ready to continue. Other players should avoid changing the plan at the same time that the leader is selecting an activity or checking a warning.

Use your player to make the relevant selections and press Ready from Fortnite. The bot's presence or animation is not a substitute for checking your own player's state. An emote may be visible even when your player is not prepared to continue; cosmetic activity and party readiness describe different things.

  • Identify the intended real-player leader before inviting the bot.
  • Check leadership again after reorganizing the party.
  • Let one person make setup changes at a time.
  • Read any restriction or warning shown to the player in Fortnite.

Recover from an unexpected leadership change

First pause the sequence instead of repeatedly pressing Ready. Look at who currently leads the party. If leadership has moved to the bot or another account, use the party controls available in Fortnite to restore the intended arrangement. When that is unclear, returning to your player's lobby and rebuilding the party can be easier to verify than continuing through several uncertain changes.

A bot restart is appropriate for a connection that remains stuck, not as the first response to every party-management problem. Restarting can interrupt the bot's membership and require another invitation. Correct the leadership arrangement inside Fortnite first, then assess whether the bot itself still needs attention.

Check the leader indication again after returning from a disrupted session or rebuilding the group. A browser panel can remain open while the arrangement in Fortnite changes. Keeping the same control tab does not mean you are still in the same party. Ask the person leading to confirm the current members before the group continues, especially if several players left and rejoined during troubleshooting.
