Bot Disconnected or Trial Expired? Compare Access and Connection
A bot leaving the party does not explain why it left. A free trial may have reached its end, a user may have ended it manually, or the connection may have been interrupted while access remained valid. Compare the server-reported trial or hosting access with a fresh connection observation before deciding which recovery action makes sense.
Use the trial's server expiry
The free trial lasts 30 minutes. Use the trial's recorded start and expiry information rather than estimating from when you opened a browser tab. A tab can be restored after being hidden, and your device clock is not the authority for whether the service still grants access.
If the server reports the trial as finished, refreshing the page or repeatedly pressing Start does not create a new entitlement. If the interface is still showing an older countdown, wait for current server information before interpreting the discrepancy. The trial timer and the bot's most recent connection update describe different facts.
Look for a connection interruption while access remains active
If access is still active, inspect the current bot status and party member list. Reconnecting, offline and unconfirmed are not interchangeable. Unconfirmed means the service lacks enough recent evidence to say which state applies; it should not be read as a definite disconnect.
A bot disappearing from Fortnite while the panel still shows an old online snapshot needs a fresh observation. Do not diagnose invalid credentials from that combination alone. Network interruptions, party changes and authentication problems require their own evidence, and none can be identified solely from an unchanged green status label.
Account for a manual end or pending stop
Ending the free trial manually closes the bot and gives up the remaining trial time. Distinguish that explicit choice from natural expiry. If you are unsure whether the confirmation was submitted, inspect the current trial state before making another request.
A stop that remains pending has not yet been confirmed complete. Starting again while that closure is unresolved can create conflicting expectations. Follow the displayed operation through to its final status rather than treating an unanswered stop as permission to launch a replacement session. If you are comparing the game with a browser tab, record when each view last changed. Seeing the bot leave first and a finished-trial label later does not establish two separate incidents.
Check paid access independently
Paid hosting provides 24/7 availability while the relevant access is active. It is separate from the free trial's timer. A checkout page being open is not proof of payment, and a previous payment does not by itself establish that access is currently active.
If paid access is confirmed but the bot disconnects, report the access state and the connection event separately. Include the time, time zone, trial or paid context, and whether the bot returned to the party. This helps support investigate an interruption without misclassifying an expired trial as an outage or promising that any hosting status guarantees uninterrupted matchmaking.
